After successfully working together for ten years, the Karl family appoints Jochen Müller as Managing Director at INGUN.
The INGUN board member (our owners Wolfgang and Armin Karl) have appointed Jochen Müller as Managing Director of INGUN Prüfmittelbau GmbH starting 1st January 2022. This is a big step for the Karl family. After 50 successful years of company history, Jochen Müller is the first non-family member to be entrusted with directing the business affairs. This decision is based on the mutual trust which has grown over the last ten years while working respectfully together on the successes which have been achieved for INGUN.
For Armin and Wolfgang Karl, this development is a logical step: “INGUN has been a 50-year success story, which our family is proud of. Success also always means responsibility and for the last ten years, Jochen Müller has been making a significant contribution to us being able to live up to our responsibility as an employer and Partner for Future Technology to our customers. We are very happy that as Managing Director, Jochen Müller will increasingly bear the responsibility of sustainably growing our company in a complex and dynamic market together with us in future.”
Before Jochen Müller became a member of the Management Board in 2012 and therefore part of the INGUN family at the request of the Karl family, he had already been supervising important milestones for INGUN as an external consultant since 2005. Both his valuable advice concerning the change of generations from Wolfgang to Armin Karl and the introduction of our strategy process as foundation of INGUN’s present success should be emphasised.
Since joining INGUN in 2012, he has been responsible for the commercial area, and since 2019 also for the technical area and thus the entire operative business.
What will change for INGUN due to Jochen Müller becoming Managing Director?
Jochen Müller will gain a broader operational scope which will enable him to better support and represent our owners and INGUN’s interests. Therefore, the well-established collaboration within the Management Board in its existing configuration will be strengthened. The main responsibility for INGUN still lies with Armin Karl as the owner while Jochen Müller retains the responsibility for the operative business and Michael Eisele takes care of the important support processes.
Jochen Müller is looking forward to the future with the team at INGUN: “I am very grateful for the trust Wolfgang and Armin Karl place in me and for the valued cooperation between us. I would also like to thank the managers and employees at INGUN for our collaborative work. I am simultaneously proud and humbled to know that the success of INGUN is down to the work of the whole INGUN family. I am very much looking forward to being allowed to consistently lead INGUN on its current path as Partner for Future Technology thanks to the responsibility given to me with everyone’s support.”
