Customising accessory

In order to be able to carry out tests on PC boards, test fixtures must be customised for specific test specimens/DUTs. At INGUN you will find the complete range of customising accessories to customise your test fixtures precisely and efficiently - without wasting time manufacturing your own components.

We also offer customisation and starter kits that contain common individual parts for DUT-specific customisation. With our freely available 3D data, you can plan your exchangeable kits for the test fixture precisely and coordinate them with your customers in advance. This allows you to create the appropriate drilling, wiring and testing programmes before delivery. As soon as your order arrives, installation can begin immediately - a smart and efficient process.

Precise components from a single source

Here we present some key components for the customisation of your test fixtures:

Test probes

Spring-loaded probes (GKS) are the basis for reliable and efficient contacting. INGUN offers the world's largest portfolio of GKS – which vary in terms of size, spring force, tip style, and functionality. All spring-loaded probes transmit electrical signals and work according to a similar principle with a spring-loaded plunger and recommended working stroke.

Push rods

Push rods (NHS) are used to hold PCBs securely in place against the force of the installed probes during contacting in the test fixture. They are mounted in the pressure frame plate and are renowned for simple installation as well as high durability. Push rods are available in rigid or spring-loaded versions, each with variable length and tip diameter. Each delivery includes fixing screws or barrels.

Side approach mechanisms

Side approach mechanisms (SAM) are used for reliable contacting of connectors or test points that require a lateral contact stroke. Depending on the version, the stroke is actuated manually or pneumatically by the fixture. SAMs differ in terms of the maximum stroke, the contact force, and the accessories supplied.

Interface blocks

Interface blocks (SB) ensure reliable signal transmission between the test device and the test system. Depending on the model, they can transmit voltage, high-current and high-frequency signals as well as fibre optics, compressed air, and digital data. Mixing blocks combine several functions, such as high current and compressed air or high current and optical fibre.

Signals are transmitted via two interface blocks mounted opposite each other: One is equipped with spring-loaded probes, the other with rigid contact terminals or couplings. This configuration ensures consistently high contact quality and reliable signal transmission with minimal contact resistance. Interface blocks are available in numerous versions and with a wide range of accessories. We also offer specialised blocks for mounting common interfaces such as pole terminals, D-Sub sockets, USB and RJ45 connections on the DUT side.
