ESD quality check

ESD customisation means the test fixture is equipped with ESD wiring (black cables), with ground connection and a connection for an ESD antistatic strap. Before delivery, the field strength is measured in the DUT area. Here the ESD test fixture is connected to protective earthing via its ground connection. A charged foil is used to place charge. 20 seconds after charge application, the electric field strength is measured with an electric field meter. The measured value of 50 V/cm must not be exceeded, in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1.
