Efficient, space-saving
contacting of touchscreens

TOUCH-DISPLAYS

Capacitive touchscreens are display systems that use the electrical properties of the human body as input. When a finger - or a special input device such as a stylus or TAB – comes into contact with the display, when and where the user touched the display is detected.

When contact is made with the touchscreen surface, this causes a change in the electromagnetic field, and consequently the capacity. By measuring this change, the position on the touchscreen can be reliably determined. Contacting is entirely scratch-free and gentle on the touchscreen surface.

Using the newly-developed manual button activator (TAB) with capacitive tip, space-saving contacting of capacitive touchscreens can be reliably performed during the testing process.

Capacitive touchscreens are used in products such as smartphones, tablets, and several industrial applications, for example, machinery and other manufacturing equipment.

Features of the new TAB:

  • Manual operation
  • Scratch-free, gentle contacting of the touchscreen surface
  • No separate earth connection necessary, as the electrical discharge is carried out by the operator
  • Quick, easy, space-saving installation
  • Continuously adjustable via M5 threaded hole
  • Simple installation and operation in manual exchangeable kits ATS MAxx and ATS MAxxx
  • Design is not vacuum-tight, nor LVD-compliant
