Spring

The spring is the active component of test probes and provides the required contact force even after several hundred thousand contacts cycles. The nominal spring forces stated in the catalogue are achieved at the recommended working stroke and are subject to slight variations depending on the design, manufacturing tolerances and operating conditions.

In test fixtures, springs are mounted on the probe plate and serve as a pressure element to lift the moving plate with the DUT back to the original level after contacting.
