Plunger

The plunger, available with differently shaped tip styles, is the main element of a test probe visible from outside. The plunger must ensure a low contact resistance between the probe and the DUT with the highest possible pressure to ensure reliable measurement results. Plungers are typically made of hardened steel or hardened beryllium copper (CuBe). Brass can also be used for very passive tip styles.
