E-TYPE probe
An E-TYPE probe is a test probe with an increased spring pre-load, also called high-energy probe.
These test probes enable the highest contact reliability on the PCB/DUT without additional stress. This initially higher spring force guarantees a reliable contact and up to 25% larger contact surface between E-TYPE probes and DUT with the same load. E-TYPE probes have the same spring force as comparable standard test probes (GKS) at the working stroke.
When they hit the test surface, up to 100% more spring force is available, which is achieved by the increased spring pre-load of the E-TYPE probes.
