Barrel
A spring-loaded test probe typically consists of three components; the plunger, the barrel and the spring. The barrel accommodates the plunger and the spring. The measurement signal flows through the barrel to the receptacle. To optimise the plunger’s movement in the barrel, the barrel has a thin organic protective layer in addition to the gold plating.
